Behind the Scenes – Goodwood Festival of Speed

We often have proofs generated but this has to be one of the largest we’ve had, at around 3m x 8m it was pretty much impossible to look at properly indoors. Thankfully today was nice and dry so the visitors’ car park spaces came in handy, and proved to be the ideal spot, because the finished output (likely to be a whopping 8m x 25m) is going to be displayed outside at the hugely popular Goodwood Festival of Speed. Interestingly this event is growing in its popularity and regarded by the industry and general public alike, as one of the UK’s most important new car showcases with most of the automobile brands having an ever strengthening presence.

Gadget Show Live at the NEC

Our good friends at Protect Your Bubble Insurance asked us to plan, design and build their shell scheme stand at this year’s Gadget Show Live at the NEC. We added character and a 3D feel to the stand by having specific graphics cut out and ‘standing proud’ of the background panels. The stand looked great and shows how a simple idea can sometimes really bring to life a shell scheme stand. You may be interested to know the exhibition attracted over 100,000 gadget crazed visitors. It is regarded as the UK’s leading consumer technology event – pretty much perfect ‘grass route’ targeting for Protect your bubble.

MCN Motorcycle Exhibition

The weather seems to finally be on the turn with a hint of Spring anticipation in the air which spells excitement all round but even more so for the two-wheel fans amongst us. Yep, the warmer weather promises to provide long days of motorcycling perfection and on the 2nd – 5th February ExCel court played host to the MCN Motorcycle show to wet rider’s appetites. We were lucky enough to work with the wonderful teams at The Mulberry Group for British Motorcyclists Federation and Aquote Bike Insurance to produce a joint stand from concept to build. Citigo Preview

When SKODA wanted to take a number of Motoring jounalists to the Czech Republic to see the new SKODA Citigo, they asked Freestone to help brand the event.
With items including display banners, press kits and video montage as well as items like drinks coasters, luggage tags and headrest covers.

Welcome Stacey Cooper, sorry that’s a bit cheesy. She becomes the newest member of the Freestone team, Her main role will be supporting our automotive team in their endeavors, She saw off the stiff competition in the last bout of interviews. Rather interestingly the Freestone rumor-mill supposedly said that we just liked her red hair – its not true I tell you! (Errr… Yes, we do like her red hair but that wasn’t the only reason.) Actually Stacey could possibly be one of the fastest, most enthusiastic individuals we have ever come across. pheww I think I got away with that one.

Skoda celebration book

Our good friends at Skoda commissioned Freestone Creative to create a coffee table picture book, an aide memoire in celebration of their amazing record breaking achievements at Bonneville . Using client supplied photography, which we have to say is rather special – the light over there is just fantastic, couple that with endless blue skies over miles of white salt and you have the recipe for some striking pictures. Bind this all together and the end result is a thread sewn, hard back book, add silk screened, foil and embossing, a hand made slip case and you have a very nice thing indeed.

Vox office branding

Numark mixing it up

The show is the world’s largest event dedicated to DJ, electronic music production and club culture event of its kind. It’s attended by DJs, producers, performers, promoters, venue owners/managers, equipment retailers/installers, record label representatives, students and many others who simply have an interest in DJing or electronic music.
