Trek Brazil

For those of you feeling in a generous mood, a worthy recipient comes in the form of our good friend and general adrenaline junkie, Andrew Bullock. For 6 days during March 2009 he will embark on a hair-raising trek around Brazil, covering 125km on very little flat ground! Much of the terrain is mountainous with rivers, waterfalls, jungle paths and caves to contend with.

All this is in aid of UNICEF UK who have worked tirelessly for 60 years, working at ground level to help children survive and prosper. Their support covers 156 countries and territories and is the world’s largest provider of vaccines for developing countries. They are a charity and their existence relies entirely on donations. Andrew is helping to raise £140,000 for ‘Inspiring Young Minds Brazil’ which is BT’s global charity programme with UNICEF. These funds go to support sports projects in the disadvantaged areas of three Brazilian cities, which helps to engage the local young people.

freestone were quick off the mark to get our donation in first, and are proud to be official sponsors for Andrew as he prepares to set off on this life-changing journey. If you would like to help him on his way or for further information, please click the link www.justgiving.com/andrewbullock1

Thanks very much!
